About
My interest in holistic medicine started when I was 22. I was working as a pediatric occupational therapist with special needs children. Some were Thalidomide injured (a toxic drug that led to deformities and handicaps). I learned about the potential adverse effects of pharmaceuticals and I was drawn to learn about natural remedies, nutrition and natural healthcare. I realized that we can prevent a lot of health issues with diet, exercise, stress release, and natural remedies. We can also improve and reverse many health issues by adding lifestyle changes.
I went back to college for four years for a Doctor of Chiropractic degree (emphasizing the nervous system and the innate intelligence of the body to heal), plus a Nutrition Certification for physicians (2 years)- including lab testing, herbs, natural remedies, diet, and lifestyle.
I believe that this is a critical time in the history of the United States and the world to balance healthcare with conventional and holistic methods for the prevention and improvement of chronic disease. I teach free local classes to help others learn about self-care with holistic health and how to make better health decisions.
After learning from my own personal experience, I became a specialist in sleep after seeing so many people suffer needlessly, I have helped myself and others for over 35 years, especially when conventional methods did not work. My mission is to support others to be the best version of themselves and to restore health, happiness.
When I'm not helping clients, I am hiking in the redwoods, playing with art, Qigong, writing, and reading.
Yours In Health,
Rabia
